  1. What color did you use for camo to include shade, base and highlight?

Very nice attention to detail and I'm looking forward to the rest.:-)

  2. I assume you mean the Splinter Camo?

The base is VMC German Camo Beige. Brown is German Camo Medium Brown and Green is Luftwaffe Camo Green. The thin "water" stripes are thinned Luftwaffe Camo Green, usually in groups of three or four lines and only on the Beige where they are most visible.

These cam out a little on the "green" side for my liking. I usually prefer the brown to dominate, remembering the stripe will add a certain amount of green to the overall design as well.

  4. I usually use a shadow/shade colour for the GC Beige, yes. This would normally be GC Beige with something darker mixed into it, most often German Fieldgrey. Recently I've found that the P3 paint "Cryx Bane Highlight" works perfectly as a shadow straight from the bottle, but mixing a darker CG Beige is really just as good.

Over the shadow colour the GC Beige is block-painted, leaving the shadow in the recesses and folds. I use no highlight to this base.

The brown camo is then applied, then the green and the lines. Of course the camo covers some of this detail, but the overall effect is better I feel than a simple "flat" base of GC Beige.

Hope that makes sense. No problem on answering the questions, I 'll always do so when I can :)
