Superb paintjob mate! would you mind sharing your colors used for the green basecoat etc. I'm about to paint some shermans and fireflys from the Open Fire set and the last I did I painted olive drab (AK modulation set) and then gave them a thin coat of Tamiya Olive Green to lighten it up abit...
The green is VMC 888 Olive Grey, followed by panel highlights with Panzer Aces 336 Afrika Korps Tankcrew. An overall filter applied with brown ("Brown for Green" or something similar) to tone it down. Gloss varnish when dry, then a pin-wash wherever detail warrants it.
Awesome job man. Love them. I really don't like the shapes of this tank but in a modeler point of view it is very interestiong. I really need to buy few of these for my Soviet army.
Fantastic looking unit!
ReplyDeleteSuperlative paintwork as always!
